Grand opening of Walkabout Brighton

Grand opening of Walkabout Brighton

Last week the Magnify team visited the grand opening of Walkabout in Brighton. Expectations were high following the visit to a newly refurbished Bristol venue last month showing off a ‘new look’ Walkabout. The brand identity had seamlessly changed whilst still keeping the laid back Australian vibe. A classier outfit all round. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised at just how close it is from the iconic beachfront – just a pebble’s throw away. The expectations we had were met as we strolled into the venue bustling with excited customers. Crisp TV content was made visible at every glance ranging from sport to surfing to sales. The bar was waiting stocked up with the finest Australian imports – VB, Carlton Draught and Bundaberg to name a few. If you’re visiting a Walkabout I would definitely recommend trying one of these deliciously crisp beers, if there’s one thing Australians know it’s how to produce a delightful thirst quenching beverage. The...

Five star for a reason

Five star for a reason

Magnify Marketing has been fortunate enough to work on the new menu for the World Famous American Bar at the five star Savoy on The Strand. Now 125 years old this venue was serving drinks the same year the Eiffel Tower was finished! Now as if this was not pressure enough to get the new menu right then there was another type of pressure that was my Nan. Whilst she sadly left us a while back, her memory lives on and the Savoy was the place she held above all others. Whilst a hard working Londoner all her life, the Savoy was a rare treat for those very special occasions and became the bench mark for all others. We lost count of the times we heard that where she had just been was “good, but it was no Savoy” Therefore working on the menu became so much more than just a print and design job. The end result looks fantastic and...

Morrison’s create store environment

Morrison’s create store environment

Supermarkets generate loyalty like nothing else, where else would you get statements like "I'm a Waitrose person" or "Sainsbury's all the way" so breaking these habits you really have to go some.  Morrison's, following the purchase of Safeway began their south invasion a while back but even with heavy advertising alot of people did not really get it.  It had some great point of differences but to break peoples habits is no easy task in such a competitive market.  The first opportunity came with the horse meat scandal, and with one of the best traceability and sourcing in its market place Morrison's was suddenly laughing all the way compared to its competitors. The second big point of difference is there store environment.  Market street as its called groups together a high st under one roof but with people who know about the products they are selling, not just filling shelves.  These come in the format of fish mongers, butchers and bakers....

Key dates

Key dates

Key dates remain a great opportunity to capitalise on opportunities and give the customer a reason to choose your venue. It also highlights that things change with you, no one likes a static business. Key dates come in all shapes and sizes with Christmas being the holy grail of them all. And yes we have just signed off our first Christmas menus which is incredible! Get behind them and you can shape some great activity to drive footfall. Wetherspoons are the master of these, often taking events that people let pass by and make their own. Their St Georges activity is simple but very effectively, linking a few products together and communicating clearly to its customer base. Its continued on social media and the website linking everything together from a communication angle.. Key date activities are your keys to success.....just make sure you don't lose them!...
